Job description

Overview

Founded in 1916, Nashua Country Club is a distinguished private club in the heart of Nashua, New Hampshire. For more than a century, the Club has upheld a strong commitment to fellowship, tradition, and the game of golf, serving as a gathering place for generations of members and their families.

Golf is central to the Nashua Country Club experience. NCC is an 18-hole private club with approximately 365 Full Golf members and 24,000 rounds annually. The Club has an active, engaged golf membership, a strong tournament tradition, and exceptional outdoor practice facilities, including a full driving range and dedicated short-game area.

Unlike many traditional New England golf operations, NCC offers meaningful year-round opportunities for programming, instruction, player development, and club fitting. The Club features four TrackMan simulator bays. Three are located in NCC's premier indoor Sports Center, which also houses a four-sheet, tournament-specification curling facility, the only dedicated curling facility in New Hampshire. A fourth TrackMan bay in the Golf Shop is dedicated to club fitting and instruction.

Beyond golf, NCC offers dining, social, recreational, and family programming in a welcoming environment where relationships and community are central to the member experience. The Club is entering an exciting period of investment and renewal, giving its next Head Golf Professional a distinctive opportunity to shape the future of golf at NCC while preserving the traditions and character that have defined the Club for generations.

Nashua Country Club seeks a Head Golf Professional who combines exceptional private-club service and personal presence with the organizational ability, leadership skills, and business acumen required to operate a successful golf program.

  • Highly visible and member-focused. Genuinely enjoys being around members, learns names and preferences, builds relationships across generations, and understands that exceptional private-club service is often found in the small details.
  • A leader and developer of people. Establishes high standards, leads by example, develops assistant professionals and seasonal staff, delegates effectively, and creates a culture in which the entire golf team takes pride in the member experience.
  • An exceptional communicator. Approachable, responsive, and professional when communicating with members, staff, Club leadership, committees, and fellow department heads.
  • Organized and accountable. Manages a complex operation with attention to detail, follows through on commitments, anticipates issues, and takes ownership of results.
  • Innovative and forward-looking. Respects the traditions of a club founded in 1916 while embracing technology, modern instruction, club fitting, and creative programming that increases participation and engagement.
