Job summary

Greensburg Country Club in Greensburg, Indiana seeks a hands-on General Manager who can run the day-to-day golf shop and clubhouse operations. You will oversee cart operations, payroll, and financial reporting, with responsibility to present monthly and yearly results.

You'll also chair board meetings, manage leagues, and handle merchandise ordering and handicap administration, with potential pay increases tied to growing the Junior Program and new member recruitment.

Overview

Greensburg Country Club is a historic 18-hole, semi-private golf facility located in Greensburg, Indiana, approximately one hour southeast of Indianapolis and halfway between Indianapolis and Cincinnati. Established in 1925, the course offers a traditional golf experience and is open to the public.

• Layout: The course is an 18-hole, Par 70 championship layout spanning approximately 215 acres and measuring 6,251 yards.627
• Features: It is characterized by rolling, tree-lined holes and a unique set of six par-3s. The course features bent grass tees, fairways, and greens.625
• Ratings: The course has a slope of 135 and a rating of 70.1.47 Programs and Services
• Junior Golf: The club hosts a nationally recognized Junior Golf Program and frequently serves as a host site for local high school tournaments, including boys' and girls' sectionals and the Greensburg Invitational.861
• Membership: The facility offers various membership options for families, individuals, and junior golfers.

Essential Responsibilities

Job Description:

• In charge of the day to day operation of the golf shop and clubhouse. (Most days the pro is the only person working until 3 or 4 pm)
• In charge of the cart operation.
• General Manager of the entire facility so everyone reports to the pro.
• Responsible for payroll, including monthly ending, quarter ending, and year ending reports. (We are in the process of possibly hiring someone for this portion)
• Responsible for finances including day ending, month ending, and yearly reporting.
• Attend monthly board meetings.
• In charge of couples league and work with one other on men's leagues.
• In charge of all ordering for pro shop, snack bar, bar, and kitchen.
• In charge of handicaps.
• In charge of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Possible increase in pay for establishing a Junior Program.
• Possible increase in pay for enlisting new members.

• $55,000 - $60,000 Salary
