Job summary

Nine Mile Falls School District is seeking a Head Golf Coach for Lakeside High School to lead the varsity program in the Spring season. You will plan practices, oversee safety, develop skills, and manage team operations, travel, and equipment with an emphasis on growth, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age, per WIAA head coach requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain before season.
• Meet WA background-check requirements (WSP/FBI).
• Complete WIAA coaching education and safety trainings.
• Knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, etiquette, and course management.
• Ability to plan organized practices and supervise student-athletes.
• Instruct, motivate, supervise, and communicate with high school students.
• Meet scheduling, travel, and attendance responsibilities.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and fair treatment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Lakeside High School golf program.
• Plan and conduct organized, developmentally appropriate practices.
• Provide instruction in golf fundamentals, swing development, and etiquette.
• Adapt instruction for varying experience levels.
• Prepare student-athletes for competition with growth mindset.
• Establish clear team expectations and discipline.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel.
• Make coaching decisions based on readiness and rules.
• Communicate expectations to students and families.
• Monitor eligibility and support academics and attendance.
