Job summary

Elmwood Park Public Schools seeks a Head Girls Wrestling Coach/Assistant Coach Boys Wrestling for a high school program. The role involves directing the girls program and supporting boys wrestling with skill development, competition strategy and adherence to district policies.

The incumbent will lead practices, mentor student-athletes, and coordinate with athletic staff to promote sportmanship, safety and academic accountability.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• The assistant coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continue to study new theories and procedures.
• Must serve as a positive role model through instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Implements athletic policies approved by the Board and ensures staff adherence.
• Interprets regulations for staff and ensures proper administrative command flow.
• Coordinates staff activities and maintains discipline and morale.
