Job summary

Waterbury Public Schools is seeking a Wilby High School Head Girls Volleyball Coach for the fall season. The role involves leading practices, teaching volleyball fundamentals, and guiding student athletes toward skill development and sportsmanship.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules with the Director of Sports and attending all games, clinics, and meetings. A CT coaching credential and CPR/First Aid are required, with a valid life guard certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion for Connecticut Coaching Education Module 15 or 51.
• Connecticut State DOE Coach permit or Temporary Coach permit.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Lifeguard Certification—Swimming Only.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student athletes in volleyball skills and fundamentals.
• Assist Director of Sports with scheduling contests and transportation.
• Attend all practices, games, and district meetings.
• Provide leadership and model sportsmanship and discipline to players.
