Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate and/or LHSAA requirements.
• CDL Class B with P and S endorsements; free of air brake restrictions.
• Meet all requirements of LDH school bus driver component.
• Employment with Jefferson Parish Public School System as a teacher and/or administrator.
• Knowledge of LHSAA and JPPSS basketball rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision of the basketball program within LHSAA/JPPSS guidelines.
• Assign duties of other coaches in basketball.
• Maintain and order all equipment; keep records as required.
• Schedule games and related activities for basketball.
• Develop sportsmanship and public relations in school/community.
• Ensure athletes have physicals and insurance documentation.
• Keep principal and faculty informed of trips and transportation arrangements.
• Maintain team statistics and communicate with athletic director.
