Position Overview

The Head Football Athletic Trainer will lead the day-to-day management of the athletic medicine operation for football student-athletes. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, leading the football athletic medicine team, and designing treatment and rehabilitation plans to ensure safe return to activity.

Essential Duties
  • Treat and rehabilitate athletes to full activity levels
  • Conduct pre-season screening and conditioning
  • Administer first aid and emergency procedures; apply tape, braces, padding
  • Recommend and document care treatments and injury reports
  • Educate athletes and coaching staff on training techniques
  • Coordinate with team physicians on rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions
  • Assist team physician during clinical hours
  • Travel with or oversee varsity sports teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or Allied Health Sciences
  • Minimum two years of collegiate athletic trainer experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of NCAA and Ivy League regulations
