Job summary

The State of Idaho, Office of the Attorney General, is seeking a Lead Deputy Attorney General for the Special Prosecutions Unit in Boise. The role leads prosecutors, mentors staff, and oversees cases from intake to trial, including ICAC task force matters and public corruption cases.

Qualifications

• Active Idaho Bar license or eligibility.
• Experience in criminal law.
• Ability to establish professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort with media attention and public service.
• Pass CJIS background check and maintain CJIS access.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SPU prosecutions from review through trial and sentencing.
• Lead, train, and mentor SPU staff and manage caseloads.
• Coordinate with ICAC Task Force and federal/state partners.
• Travel to courts across Idaho as needed.
