Responsibilities

  • Facility Management & Safety: Open buildings on schedule and conduct daily pre-arrival inspections to address safety hazards.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • Oversee regular inspections of playgrounds, bleachers, and high-traffic areas to minimize liability and property risks.
  • Organize, schedule, direct, and evaluate the work of the custodial staff.
  • Support continuous professional development and safety training for the custodial team.
  • Maintain up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in compliance with OSHA guidelines and ensure proper chemical handling.
  • Inventory & Purchasing: Maintain an ongoing inventory of custodial equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Assist in sourcing, selecting, and requisitioning necessary building supplies.
  • General Operations: Perform hands-on cleaning and janitorial duties as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and external contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by district leadership.

Terms of Employment & Evaluation
