Job summary

Position Title: Head Custodian

Reports to: Custodial Supervisor

Job Summary

The role of the Head Custodian-High School is to lead and manage the operations of theDistrict’s custodial staff and crossing guards (approx. 70 people).

The Head Custodian-High School will assure efficient operations meeting the needs of students,staff and the public. This position has a significant of amount of contact with people requiringgood human relation skills, flexibility and effective oral and written communication skills. Thisposition requires the use of independent judgment to deal with a variety of issues. This

position is considered essential and is expected to respond to calls at all hours of the day andnight.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with Interviews, new hires, counsels and terminations of custodial staff as required, under the supervision of the Custodial Supervisor and the Human Resources Department.
• Coordinates, assigns and inspects the custodial work at all school buildings.
• Coordinates substitutes for custodial coverage
