Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing and accredited school of anesthesia by the AANA.
  • CRNA with Alabama license and Alabama Board of Nurse Examiners registration.
  • Minimum 5 years as a nurse anesthetist with at least 2 years in anesthesia leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical anesthesia care in accordance with best practices.
  • Interview, select and hire qualified personnel.
  • Manage daily operations of CRNA staff.
  • Coordinate purchasing of supplies and equipment and maximize utilization.
  • Manage work schedules and emergency schedule changes.
  • Counsel and evaluate team members.
  • Follow hospital policy and security of controlled substances.
  • Create and manage productivity goals and measurements.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Demonstrate and encourage teamwork and patient experiences.
  • Uphold patient safety and quality.
