Order food and supplies for school. Maintain Inventory. Ascertain accuracy of food order and submit to Food Service Director weekly.Coordinate work and provide assistance to staff. Assign tasks and schedule work to ensure all duties are covered. Supervise Food Service Workers during production time. Monitor and evaluate work performed and provide problem-solving assistance. Provide orientation and training to new employees or substitutes. Communicate and treat others with respect. Provide support to staff as needed. Attend continuing education seminars and present information to district staff.Prepare Foods. Organize equipment and supplies as needed. Sequence preparation tasks according to time needed for cooking. Use time available to plan/prepare ahead for the next day or two.Maintain all regulatory record keeping and complete required reports. Maintain daily production reports. Maintain reports on participation, food usage and meal evaluations. Maintain inventory and ensure FIFO rule.Assist with special projects. Assist with planning of special events such as banquets and luncheons. Attend out of district in services pertaining to food service.Monitor health and safety conditions. Ensure that all HACCP regulations are followed. Give technical assistance in food preparation procedures. Job Summary:

Qualifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent
Child Nutrition Certification at Level 3required- must be certified at Level 4 within 1 year.
Three years related food service experience preferred.
Knowledge of quantity cooking protocol, knowledge of state food requirements, supervisory skills, demonstrated written and verbal skills, must be proficient in Microsoft Office, demonstrated record keeping and organizational skills, ability to set priorities and to complete tasks and meet deadlines despite constant interruptions.
Person considered for this position will be a lead worker, be able to accept change and be very flexible. Ability to work closely with others as a team is very important. A positive attitude is necessary.
Working Conditions:This position involves standing for 7.5 hours, bending, lifting, hot wet environment in dishroom.
Push/pull carts, lift cases of 30# or more.
