Job summary

Wexford House in Kingsport, Tennessee seeks a compassionate Dietary Cook to join the care team. You will ensure policy-compliant food procedures, assist with production, and help maintain stock and cleanliness. The role includes serving meals and snacks, submitting reports, and upholding privacy of health information.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma.
• One year of dietary or food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow food procedures per established policies.
• Submit forms/reports to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing production to ensure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals and bedtime snacks; provide substitutes as needed.
• Assist in daily cleaning and maintain stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Dietary Manager and VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information in all formats.

Dietary Cook Position Summary

As a Dietary Cook at Wexford House, you'll be an essential part of our residents' care. Responsibilities include:

• Ensure food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submit to the Dietary Manager.
• Assist in establishing food service production line to assure meals are prepared on time.
• Prepare and serve meals, prepare bedtime snacks, and serve substitute meals and/or snacks as necessary.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties and ensure stock levels of staple and non-staple food, supplies, and equipment are maintained at adequate levels.
• Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Dietary Manager and/or VP of Nutritional Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Dietary Cook Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of dietary or food service experience preferred
