Job summary

California State University, Los Angeles seeks a full-time Head Coach for the Women’s Tennis program for the 2026–2027 academic year. Reporting to the Executive Director of Athletics, the Head Coach provides leadership, oversight, and competitive direction for the NCAA Division II program competing in the CCAA.

Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, scheduling, budgeting, compliance, fundraising, and supervising staff, while promoting academic achievement and student development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Progressively responsible collegiate coaching experience with recruiting and athlete development.
  • Strong knowledge of NCAA and conference governance.
  • Effective communication, fiscal management, supervising staff, and commitment to inclusion.
  • Valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis program and oversee all activities.
  • Develop training programs and assess student-athlete performance.
  • Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
  • Foster academic success and holistic student development.
  • Manage program operations: budgeting, scheduling, travel, equipment.
  • Ensure NCAA/conference/CSU/university compliance.
  • Supervise assistant and volunteer coaches.
  • Lead fundraising, alumni engagement and community outreach.
