Job summary

Santa Clara Unified School District is seeking a knowledgeable Varsity Head Coach to lead the badminton program. The role involves overseeing daily practices, match strategies, and player development, aligning athletic goals with academic success and character.

Ideal candidates will have a strong passion for badminton, coaching experience, and excellent communication skills; we require California teaching credential and a commitment to the full spring season (February through May) with TB test,

Qualifications

• Appropriate California Teaching Credential (Non-Certificated applicants may apply under the California Administrative Code Section 5531).
• Preference to in-house candidates.
• Successful Coaching Experience: TB Test CPR & First Aid Familiar with the Code of Ethical Conduct published by the California Interscholastic Federation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong passion for badminton (coaching or high-level playing experience preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage match-day logistics.
• Availability for the full Spring season (daily practices and matches from February through May).
