Job summary

Northwest Christian Schools, Inc. in Colbert, WA, is seeking a Head Coach to oversee all aspects of the athletic program, cultivating a positive and unified team culture among players, parents, and assistant coaches.

The Head Coach ensures a successful and meaningful season through a strong commitment to professional conduct, coaching excellence, and program leadership. The Head Coach will develop season plans, supervise practices and games, coordinate with the Athletic Director, ensure safety,

Qualifications

Coaching experience and ability to motivate athletes.
First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Commitment to Jesus Christ and NWCS Statement of Faith.
Strong interpersonal communication with students, staff, and community.
Knowledge of sport, motivation, strategies, and ability to supervise staff.
Organized and able to monitor multiple athletes and activities.

Responsibilities

Develop a firm foundation for the program with Biblically based concepts communicated in devotions and teachable moments.
Create unity of purpose among program coaches and write seasonal plans and practice schedules.
Provide high-quality coaching instruction with competition plans and post-competition analysis.
Mentor players and maintain positive relationships with parents.
Ensure safety of athletes during practices and games and manage injuries appropriately.
Work with Athletic Director to set goals and review program progress.
Plan preseason meetings and maintain regular communication regarding logistics and concerns.
