Job summary

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment seeks a Head Coach for Rapids 2 in Commerce City, CO. You will oversee all on-field activities for Rapids 2, coordinating with First Team and Academy and managing staff, training, and game operations.

The role requires MLS knowledge, licensing progress, and strong leadership, communications, and organizational skills. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach techniques, tactics, physical and psychological components of soccer.
• Inspire, motivate and educate players and coaching staff.
• Knowledge of player development.
• Knowledge & experience in Major League Soccer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and personnel management.
• Ability to create spreadsheets and routine business correspondence using Word and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task effectively.
• Knowledge of professional sports team operations, PR and sponsor relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and manage locker room environment with players and support staff.
• Assist in the evaluation of player movement between First Team, Rapids 2 and Academy.
• Participate in daily coordination of player movement between First Team, Rapids 2 and Academy.
• Prepare and deliver training sessions within club philosophy.
• Prepare and manage team in all competitions within club philosophy.
• Complete US Soccer and MLS paperwork as required.
• Fulfill media appearances as required by League and Club.
• Travel as required.
• Assist the President, Technical Director, Sporting Director and Director of Player Personnel with any other duties as assigned.

Nature of Work:

Manage all on-field aspects of the Rapids 2 team.

Qualifications

• Required
  • US Soccer "A" License or pathway to obtain US Soccer A license or equivalent prior to 2027 MLSNP season is required
• Preferred
  • US Soccer "Pro" License preferred
  • Professional playing experience preferred.

Compensation

• Base Salary Range $110,000 - $140,000 per annum
