Job summary

Notre Dame Academy, located in Hingham, MA, seeks a positive Middle School Girls Basketball Head Coach to lead our program after school hours. You will teach fundamentals, develop teamwork, and create a development-first environment for student-athletes in grades 6–8.

The role emphasizes inclusive coaching, clear communication with families, and collaboration with the Athletics Department to ensure safe practices and a rewarding season.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with Middle School-aged student-athletes preferred.
• Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals and basic rules.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead organized, engaging practices for Middle School players.
• Teach ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, spacing.
• Introduce team concepts in an age-appropriate way.
• Foster growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship among players.
• Prepare athletes for games with a development-first approach.
• Provide constructive feedback and maintain a positive culture.
• Collaborate with NDA Athletics and communicate with families.
