Job summary

Brandywine School District seeks a Head Coach for High School Indoor Track (Boys) at Concord High School. The role is casual/seasonal with a start around 11/2026 and a closing date of 09/24/2026, reporting to the Building Principal.

Lead varsity, JV, and freshman programs; ensure DIAA rules, CPR certification, and academic eligibility; manage practices, equipment, and budget needs; foster sportsmanship and community relations.

Qualifications

• Certificated and/or professionally licensed non-administrative employee preferred.
• Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Previous successful coaching experience in the identified sport.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the identified sport and willingness to examine new theories and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for Varsity, JV, and Freshmen programs.
• Know and implement DIAA rules; attend mandatory rules clinic and coaches meetings; CPR certified.
• Verify athletes' academic and medical eligibility.
• Supervise and conduct practices and contests safely.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Manage uniforms, equipment, and facilities responsibly.
• Notify Athletic Director of annual budget needs.
• Promote good sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Develop positive relations with parents, school, booster clubs, and community.
• Communicate with Athletic Director, administrators, assistants, players, and parents.
• Direct injured athletes to trainer and report injuries to nurse.
• Provide team rules, practice schedules, eligibility reports, and roster accuracy; adhere to deadlines.
