Qualifications:
  1. License and Certification: Georgia teacher certification required.

  3. Experience: No prior experience necessary; experience recognized on salary schedule.
  4. Skills: Knowledge of applicable sports, character education, program organization, safety practices, school policies, effective instructional practices, communication, and human relations skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Lead development and implementation of sport programs in accordance with rules and regulations.
  2. Teach traits such as persistence, teamwork, and cooperation.
  3. Promote interest and lifelong participation in physical activities.
  4. Teach sports fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
  5. Coordinate athletic programs with educational goals.
  6. Maintain athletic equipment and supplies.
  7. Ensure parental permission, insurance, and medical exams for athletes.
  8. Arrange transportation for injured students.
  9. Approve athletic awards.
  10. Teach values like discipline, health, and cooperation.
  11. Provide equal opportunity for competition.
  12. Supervise locker rooms during practice sessions.
  13. Emphasize safety and educate players on rules.
  14. Maintain positive relationships with staff and community.
  15. Coordinate transportation for athletic events.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
