Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Middle School Football team at White Pine Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in football coaching, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to foster a positive team environment. This position requires effective communication skills, leadership qualities, and a focus on both athletic and personal growth for student‑athletes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement practice schedules and game strategies to enhance team performance.
  • Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all players are engaged and improving their skills.
  • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and player progress.
  • Monitor and assess the development of each player, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Organize and oversee team events, including games, tournaments, and community service activities.
  • Ensure that all players adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe playing environment.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to promote the overall athletic program at White Pine Middle School.
  • Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance, and any disciplinary actions taken.
Requirements
  • Previous coaching experience, preferably at the middle school or high school level.
  • Strong knowledge of football rules, strategies, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills to inspire young athletes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.

Compensation

Salary stipend per STEA Contract

Physical Demands

The position may require bending, reaching, twisting, pushing or pulling items, lifting or carrying materials up to approximately 40 pounds, and standing and/or walking for extended periods during the workday.
