Pennridge School District is seeking a dedicated Head Coach for the Boys Tennis program at the High School in Perkasie, PA. This role reports to the Athletic Director and starts Spring 2027, with stipend compensation per the EDR Contract in the PEA bargaining agreement.

The candidate will lead practice planning, supervise assistants, and ensure safety while promoting academics, character, and sportsmanship within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Knowledge of tennis rules, strategies, and techniques.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Responsabilités

DESCRIPTION:Pennridge School Districtis seeking a dedicated, experienced, and student-centered individual to serve as the Head Coach for ourBoys Tennis program. This position plays a critical role in developing student-athletes both on and off the field, fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTION:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the Tennis program at the high school level.
• Plan, organize, and supervise practices and competitions.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all student-athletes.
• Promote academic achievement, character development, and personal responsibility.
• Supervise assistant coaches and collaborate with athletic department staff.
• Maintain and inventory equipment and uniforms.
• Represent the program positively within the school and the broader community.
• Comply with school, district, league, and state athletic association policies and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Prior coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Knowledge of rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid teaching certificate (if applicable or required by district).
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• NFHS coaching certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and program development.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:Physical and Clearances must be dated within the last 12-months. TB must be dated within the last 90-days.
