Description

The Head Coach for Boys and Girls Squash will provide guidance to the players' academic and athletic experience. They manage the offensive/defensive strategy and game management of the athletic curriculum and program development.

  • Coach and coordinate the offensive/defensive strategy of the program.
  • Adhere to policies established in The Lawrenceville School Coaches Handbook.
  • Attend scheduled practices and athletic contests and assist with game management.
  • Attend professional conferences and required institutional meetings (when applicable).
  • Commit to continued professional growth through a plan of professional development.
  • Stay current in and expand knowledge of coaching techniques.
  • Model and ensure diversity and cultural competency in all responsibilities, respecting and valuing cultural differences regardless of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, and other protected characteristics.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of successful coaching experience in a high school, college, club, or professional setting.
  • College, US National, and/or International playing experience.
  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of coaching experience in a high school or college setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Effective communication skills with groups and individuals, maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional manner.
  • Ability to review, understand, and apply concepts from training programs, conferences, and professional literature.
  • Willingness to manage a Monday-Saturday practice/game schedule, including travel and possible Sundays (raindates).
