Job summary

Coventry High School in Coventry, Rhode Island is seeking a Head Coach & Assistant Coach for Boys Lacrosse. The role entails leading practices and games, running drills and conditioning, and teaching lacrosse skills and strategies.

Candidates should have 5+ years coaching at middle school level or higher, CPR/First Aid/AED, NFHS Concussion Course, and be able to obtain necessary clearances. The position is after-school/evening and renewable for one year.

Qualifications

• 5 years coaching at the Middle school level or higher preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certified and NFHS Concussion Course required.
• Ability to teach lacrosse skills and techniques and run drills and conditioning.
• Knowledge of interscholastic league rules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day drills and conditioning for practices and games.
• Teach lacrosse skills and techniques and ensure safe play.
• Inspire youth athletes and promote achievement and sportsmanship.
• Coordinate with Athletic Department for scheduling and player eligibility.

Job Description

Head & Assistant Coach Boys Lacrosse at Coventry High School

5 years coaching at the Middle school level or higher preferred.

All Coach duties to include, but not limited to, day to day running of drills and conditioning at practices and games; must have knowledge of rules and regulations of Interscholastic League play; knowledge of the skills and techniques of the sport and the ability to teach those skills and techniques; ability to impart to youthful athletes a sense of achievement essential to the enjoyment of the sport.

This is a 1 year, renewable position.

Applicants need to be CPR/First Aid/AED Certified and have completed the NFHS Concussion Course. Applicants will need to submit a National BCI with fingerprints submitted to Human Resource prior to starting.
