The Chariho Regional School District is seeking a Head Coach for the Chariho High School Girls Lacrosse team from mid-March to early June. The primary function is to manage and oversee the athletic team with authority over the assistant coach, implement rules and techniques, organize practices, and monitor player performance.

Responsibilities include game strategy, safety procedures, equipment management, and coordination with the Athletic Director.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid & CPR certification is required.
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certificate is required.
• Concussion in Sports certificate must be maintained yearly.
• Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate must be maintained yearly.
• Protecting Students from Abuse certification is required.
• Federal background check is required.
• Chauffeur's license may be required for transportation.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa status as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee the Girls Lacrosse program at Chariho High School.
• Plan and conduct practices, develop game strategies, and evaluate players.
• Ensure safety, administer equipment and supervise student-athletes at all times.
• Coordinate with Athletic Director and parent/participant inquiries.
• Represent the district with nondiscriminatory practices and sportsmanship.

Job Description

• The Chariho Regional School District is seeking a head coach for the Chariho High School Girls Lacrosse team from mid-March to early June.
• The primary function of the Head & Assistant Coach is to manage and oversee the athletic team to which they have been appointed. In these and other matters, the Head Coach has authority over the Assistant Coach.
• Instructs players in the rules, regulations, equipment and techniques of the sport.
• Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises/tryouts.
• Assesses player's skills, monitors players during competition and practice and provides guidance to players to improve.
• Determines game strategy.
• Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury.
• Models sportsman-like behavior and maintains appropriate conduct towards players, officials and spectators.
• Keeps the fitness center and facilities, along with the equipment room, in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for their security.
• Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets, award nights and pep assemblies.
• Performs support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data forms and other related records.
• Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
• Provides for prevention and care of injuries.
• Plans, directs and supervises all phases of the sport's program in accordance with RIIL and Chariho Regional School District policies.
• Monitors academic performance of athletes.
• Issues, maintains and collects uniforms and equipment.
• Supervises team members at all times.
• Responds to parent and participant inquiries.
• Informs the Athletic Director of any matters of concern.
