Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness in Somerville seeks a Head Fitness Coach to lead a team of coaches and guide members through heart-rate based workouts. You’ll listen, motivate, and help members achieve More Life through proven training protocols.

You will ensure correct form, demonstrate equipment, and collaborate with staff. A current fitness certification and CPR/AED certification are required, with a passion for helping members reach their health goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness.
• CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate members through workouts.
• Correct form and provide coaching for safe training.
• Understand science of heart-rate focused training and monitor training trends.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment used in workouts.
• Collaborate with studio team to drive member engagement.

As a Head Fitness Coach you can expect to perform the following duties:

• Leading and motivating members through pre-defined workouts
• Making sure members are using the correct form and offering corrections if they aren’t
• Understanding the science behind our workouts specifically, heart-rate focused training programs in general and being aware of what the competition is doing
• Knowing how to use and demonstrate usage for every piece of equipment utilized in every workout
• Being a team player

Additionally, you’ll need to meet these requirements:

• Hold and maintain a current fitness certification from an education company approved by Orangetheory Fitness
• Be AED/CPR certified
