Memphis Tiger Swimming (MTS), a competitive swim club in the Mid-South with a 55-year history and five Olympians among its alumni, is seeking a high-energy Head Coach / CEO to lead the program into its next chapter. Approximately 200 swimmers train and compete at the state-of-the-art Mike Rose Aquatics Center at the University of Memphis. Opened in 2022, the facility features an Olympic-size 50-meter pool with a moveable bulkhead, providing long-course and short-course flexibility and multiple training configurations.
We are seeking a high-energy, sophisticated and experienced coach with deep technical expertise and a modern approach to physiological training and stroke mechanics. The focus of this role is hands-on athletic leadership: inspiring swimmers, mentoring coaching staff, and elevating technical execution across all training groups. We are looking for a leader who loves developing swimmers, developing coaches, and building programs. MTS is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors responsible for organizational oversight, financial stewardship, and long-term strategic direction. The Head Coach/CEO serves as the professional leader of the organization and is empowered to lead the competitive swimming program, including coaching philosophy, athlete development, training plans, group progression, competitive strategy, and coaching staff leadership. Optional Executive / CEO Track: Candidates with strong business administration experience may also assume broader executive responsibilities, including budget development, strategic marketing, community partnerships, and direct oversight of administrative staff. The scope of these responsibilities is negotiable based on the successful candidate's experience and interests.
