Purpose: The High School Head Cheerleading Coach is responsible for creating and maintaining a competitive cheerleading program, including creating routines, instructing students, supervising events, managing budgets, and planning program activities.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Attend work regularly, reliably, and punctually.
  2. Arrange transportation, lodging, and meals for co-curricular events.
  3. Participate in supporting activities like parent orientations, recognition events, and fundraisers.
  4. Create cheers and choreography to enhance routines.
  5. Develop off-season programs such as summer training, clinics, and camps.
  6. Plan and manage fundraising and budgets.
  7. Instruct students in routines and techniques.
  8. Maintain open communication with students and parents.
  9. Organize tryouts and communicate decisions to participants and administration.
  10. Collaborate with the Activities Director and Band Director to evaluate program needs.
  11. Represent cheerleading at extracurricular events to promote school spirit.
  12. Review schedules and routines to ensure an organized program.
  13. Supervise students at events to ensure proper behavior.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned to support the program's success.
