Overview

Head Cashiers greet and thank every customer who enters and leaves the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Responsibilities also include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" and uphold our Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Be familiar with CBC policies and cashiering transactions: Cash Sales, Check Sales, Non-taxable sales, Credit Cards, Voids, Exchanges.
• Enter all sales and cash into the register promptly.
• Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization.
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases.
• Report to work on time, dressed appropriately, and groomed neatly.
• Remain security conscious throughout shifts.
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store details.
• Stay updated on current sale promotions.
• Practice inventory control, especially for boots, and check for mis-matched items.
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate sales tickets.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals such as ADS, UPT, and vendor programs.
