Overview

Head Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable about all related paperwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks such as stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender's Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Understand CBC policies and procedures
• Handle all cashiering transactions (cash, check, credit, voids, exchanges)
• Enter sales and cash accurately at the register
• Assist with stocking and store organization
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases
• Be punctual, groomed, and appropriately dressed
• Maintain security awareness
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries
• Stay updated on sales and promotions
• Practice inventory control, especially for boots
• Follow company policies on sales and validate sales tickets
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Collaborate with supervisors to achieve company goals
