Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead and mentor a fast-paced frontline team, delivering exceptional customer service in our Katy, TX store. You will oversee cashiers and courtesy clerks, support register operations, and help ensure efficient, friendly checkout experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, cashiering experience, and a passion for helping customers make healthy choices. Flexible scheduling and career growth are available in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old; HS diploma or GED; 1–2 years cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude; strong communication; able to work in a team.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Proficient in cash handling and numbers; reads, writes and counts.

Responsibilities

• Visit registers to support Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks and ensure excellent customer service.
• Assist with customer issues at the register.
• Schedule store sweeps; monitor cash register supplies; maintain restroom and parking lot cleanliness.
• Ensure security by maintaining visibility of exit doors and loss prevention.
• Oversee meal and rest break compliance per policy and state rules.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and take disciplinary actions when needed.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.

Overview Of Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks
• Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
• Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
• Maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
• Schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
• Assist in the hiring and training of new Cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers, representing as a role model in behaviors.
• Ability to operate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Have good communication skills; the ability to take direction/constructive criticism and participate in a team environment
• Be able to perform repetitious activities, and have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry product horizontally/vertically weighing up to 30 lbs., from 36” to 24”, for a distance up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring a force up to 35 lbs., for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours.
• Requires strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills; ability to read, write and count.
