Responsibilities

1. Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
2. Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
3. Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels, and maintain cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots.
4. Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
5. Schedule and oversee proper execution of meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements.
6. Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and take necessary disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. force for specified distances and durations.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, cash handling, and mathematical skills.
