Job summary

Blain’s Farm & Fleet is seeking a Head Cashier to balance registers, process payroll data, and provide exceptional customer service in Clinton, IA. You will support multiple front-end duties and ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers.

The role offers full-time employment with benefits. Weekend shifts are common, and associates receive a base pay up to $15.25/hr plus weekend premium pay. Training and advancement programs are available to help grow your career.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers and team members.
• Retail experience preferred, familiarity with store operations is a plus.
• Ability to work evenings and at least every other weekend.
• Able to pass a background check as part of employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Fill the registers with change and balance the store safe.
• Reconcile cash register receipts and assist with payroll tasks as needed.
• Transport, reserve, and reconcile money with bank and internal records.
• Order and maintain store office supplies and complete required paperwork.
• Manage Gift Registry and assist customers across departments.
• Demonstrate awareness of Loss Prevention and safety policies.

Compensation

• Saturday & Sunday weekend premium pay $2.50/hr
• Base pay up to $15.25/hr

Job Duties

TheHead Cashierwould reconcile cash register receipts and prepare bank transactions. They would also monitor, correct, and submit payroll information, and perform all duties of a Retail Cashier, and Customer Care Desk Clerk, along with other assigned duties that would ensure that the customer has an efficient, pleasant shopping experience.

• Order and maintain store office supplies
• Balance DNR receipts
• Complete and file required paperwork
• Manage Gift Registry and assist customers
• Help in other departments as assigned
• Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Great communication skills
• Prior Retail experience preferred
• Able to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
• Able to pass a background check
