Job Description

We are searching for the best talent for a Head, Business Insights & Impact - Learn located in Titusville, NJ, Raritan, NJ, New Brunswick, NJ, or Horsham PA. The Head, Business Insights & Impact - Learn translates enterprise, sector, regional, workforce, and talent priorities into learning implications, measurable program outcomes, and executive recommendations. The role defines how Learn identifies capability needs, measures outcomes, evaluates impact, and translates insights into learning strategy, portfolio priorities, and investment decisions. Reporting to the Global Head of Learn, this leader connects Learn Councils, Talent Directors, business leaders, and regional stakeholders to align learning strategy with capability needs and business outcomes. The role translates business priorities and stakeholder insights into capability strategies, outcomes frameworks, impact measures, and executive recommendations, partnering with HR Digital and enterprise analytics teams to enable data-driven decision making. Lead Learn's Business Insights Strategy Own Learn’s business insights strategy, translating enterprise, sector, regional, workforce, and talent priorities into clear learning requirements and strategic implications. Synthesize global sector strategy across Innovative Medicine, Johnson &Johnson MedTech, Enterprise Functions, and regions to shape Learn’s capability agenda. Identify emerging business needs, workforce trends and capability gaps, and strategic opportunities requiring a learning response. Serve as the Connection Point for Business, Region, and Learn Council Input Serve as Learn’s primary connection point for Learn Councils, ensuring council input and decisions are synthesized and reflected in enterprise learning strategy. Partner with HRLT, Talent Directors, business leaders, regional stakeholders, and Learn partners to identify talent and capability needs, align on desired outcomes, and surface actionable insights. Establish consistent routines and feedback loops to capture, synthesize, and communicate business and regional input. Own Learning Outcomes, Measurement, and Impact Lead Learn's outcomes and impact agenda, defining how capability growth, behavior change, learner adoption, and business outcomes are measured, evaluated, and translated into actionable insights. Define success measures and evaluation frameworks that assess skill development, behavior change, learning effectiveness, portfolio performance, and contribution to business priorities. Interpret data and insights to identify trends, assess impact, and recommend opportunities to improve capability development, learner outcomes, and business value. Define Executive Insights and Decision Support Define the business questions and desired integrated view of learning, talent, workforce, business, and stakeholder information needed for executive decision support. Own executive insights and recommendations that explain capability needs, learning outcomes, portfolio performance, and opportunities to accelerate business impact. Partner with HR Digital and enterprise analytics teams to ensure learning outcomes, business measures, and executive insight requirements are supported through appropriate data, reporting, and measurement capabilities. Guide Portfolio and Investment Decisions Translate insights into portfolio recommendations and investment tradeoffs that focus resources on the highest-value learning needs. Provide clear decision frameworks and data-informed recommendations for annual planning and portfolio reviews. Partner with Practice Areas and Learn LT to resolve duplication, misalignment, and competing demand across the learning portfolio. Lead Team, Operating Model, and Cross-Functional Alignment Lead a team accountable for business insight generation, stakeholder engagement, capability needs assessment, impact measurement, outcome evaluation, and portfolio recommendations. Establish the operating model, governance, decision rights, routines, and ways of working needed to manage business insights, stakeholder engagement, capability insight generation, impact evaluation, stakeholder engagement, executive decision support, and cross-functional partnership at scale. Build team capability in business acumen, data literacy, and outcomes-based measurement, executive storytelling, strategic advising, and influence across J&J.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business insights, HR strategy, learning strategy, organizational effectiveness, consulting, workforce planning, business insights, analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers, senior managers, or specialized teams in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business, workforce, talent, and stakeholder inputs into insights, priorities, recommendations, and strategic plans.
  • Experience shaping enterprise strategy and resource allocation across multiple stakeholders, business groups, regions, or global functions.
  • Strong data literacy, including experience defining business questions, measurement frameworks, decision-support requirements, and insights from learning, people, workforce, or business performance data.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information, frame strategic choices, and present clear recommendations to senior audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and drive alignment across teams, functions, regions, and business segments.
  • Proven experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance personal productivity and or department performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide capability planning, talent strategy, workforce planning, people analytics, or learning measurement in a large, global organization.
  • Experience working across more than one business segment, region, or enterprise function.
  • Experience supporting enterprise planning and governance processes.
  • Experience partnering with Digital, analytics, or technology teams to define business requirements, measures, decision-support needs, and acceptance criteria for reporting or analytics capabilities.
  • Other Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.

Salary

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $150,000.00 - $258,750.00

Pay Transparency

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program. Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year
  • for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year
  • for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
