Job summary

Young World Physical Education seeks a Head Boys Varsity Wrestling Coach for North Lawrence Community Schools. This part-time role involves overseeing the wrestling program, coaching student-athletes, and ensuring compliance with all IHSAA rules and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have teaching qualifications, a passion for coaching, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate and a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• First aid and CPR training preferred.
• Experience in teaching and/or coaching is preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate success in the area of application.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for organization and administration of the wrestling sport.
• Coach individual participants in skills for excellent achievement.
• Plan all practice sessions and competitions.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship at all times.
• Ensure safety conditions of the facility during practices.

Skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Experience in teaching and/or coaching

First aid and CPR training

Education
