Job summary

Northampton Area School District at Northampton High School is seeking an Anticipated Head Baseball Coach around October 13, 2026. This role leads the baseball program, coordinating and supervising activities at all levels and reporting to the Athletic Director/Building Principal/Assistant Superintendent.

The candidate should have a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate (preferred), coaching and playing experience, and strong communication with students, parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Possesses valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate, preferred.
• Possesses prior coaching experience.
• Possesses prior experience as a player in applicable sport.
• Assures compliance with Employment Eligibility, Criminal History Record, and Physical Examination/TB Test Standard.
• Possesses thorough knowledge of the rules and skills of the specific sport and ability to demonstrate skills.

Responsibilities

• Presents self to act as a leader of the program at all levels.
• Develops strategy for contests and the individual and collective skills of the team.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and eligibility rules.
• Coordinate staff, facilities, and equipment for all levels (7-12).
• Communicates with athletes and parents before the start of the season.
