THE JOB:

Joining MGM Springfield as Head Baker offers a fantastic opportunity to lead culinary excellence in a vibrant setting. Your expertise in baking standards and techniques will ensure high-quality offerings, while your welcoming demeanor will enhance guest experiences by creating memorable moments. By engaging with guests and understanding their individual needs, you'll contribute to a warm, personalized atmosphere that leaves lasting impressions, elevating the overall guest journey and reinforcing MGM Springfield's reputation for exceptional service and hospitality.

THE STARTING RATE: $24.05 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain baking standards and techniques
  • Assume accountability and responsibilities of supervisor in their absence
  • Expedite all banquet event food orders
  • Work every station in time of need
  • Take daily inventory, coordinate with chef on daily bakery food preparation items
  • Serve as a resource for other bakers and helpers


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has 1 year of bakingand/or pastry experience. Preferably in a high-production kitchen or similar environment
  • Prior lead or head baker experience is a bonus
  • Strong to advanced knowledge of baking and/or pastry techniques and baker equipment and supplies
  • Has high school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Can work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
