Job Overview

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented full-time Head Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Head Baker, you will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

Job Responsibilities

• Proven track record of demonstrating super‑hero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one‑of‑a‑kind breads. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies that weigh 50 lbs. plus is an important task of this role – the ability to stand, lift, and mix is also a daily requirement.
• The ability to work through change and be flexible while keeping a close eye on what’s cooking.
• Schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts are usually from 11 am – 7 pm with a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts too.

Qualifications & Experience

• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards.
• Leadership experience in either restaurants or retail.
• 1+ years of large‑scale baking/pastry experience (preferred, but not required).
• Formal culinary education is a bonus.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE AFTERNOON/EVENING AVAILABILITY.
• Full-time or part‑time positions available.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
