Job summary

The University of Richmond Athletic Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Athletic Trainer. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Sports Medicine Team, providing comprehensive healthcare and injury prevention services for Men’s Basketball.

This role reports to the Associate AD for Sports Medicine and Student-Athlete Welfare, requires a Master’s Degree, BOC certification, Virginia state licensure, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification;

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• BOC certification required.
• Eligible for Virginia state licensure at time of employment.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
• Experience with collegiate or professional basketball is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive healthcare and injury prevention services for Men’s Basketball.
• Be an active member of the Sports Medicine Team and report to the Associate AD for Sports Medicine and Student-Athlete Welfare.

Head Men’s Basketball Athletic Trainer

The University of Richmond Athletic Department is seeking qualified applicants for a position of Head Men’s Basketball Athletic Trainer. The University (www.richmond.edu) is a national and international ranked private university with approximately 3,000 students located in Richmond, Virginia. The University of Richmond is a member of NCAA Division I and the Atlantic 10 Conference and Patriot League (Football only). As a key member of the University of Richmond Sports Medicine Team, the Athletic Trainer will be an active part in the 5 domains of athletic training: prevention of athletic injuries, recognition, evaluation and immediate care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries, health care administration and professional development and responsibility.

This position reports to the Associate AD for Sports Medicine and Student-Athlete Welfare / Athletic Healthcare Administrator. This position will provide comprehensive healthcare and injury prevention services for Men’s Basketball.

Master’s Degree is required. BOC Certified. Eligible for Commonwealth of Virginia State licensure (must possess state license at time of employment), CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
