The Department of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at the Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Health, is seeking a fellowship-trained Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon to join our growing faculty. The ideal individual would have a solid technical background, an interest in continued academic and professional growth, and an ability to work well and collegially in an interdisciplinary team.

Position Highlights

• Join a division of 6 head and neck surgeons and a department of 17 full-time physicians, 2 dentists, 15 advanced practice providers, 12 audiologists, and 28 speech-language pathologists
• Division sees over 500 new cancer patients per year and over 1200 new patient visits and performs 50 free flaps and 20-30 pedicled flaps on average per year
• Strong referral base from the surrounding region: Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon Veterans Hospital, Gettysburg, and Harrisburg
• Growing clinical trial portfolio with sponsored and co-op trials
• Fleet of da Vinci robots in the Penn State Health system, including da Vinci SP
• Collaborative care with neurosurgery, dermatology, and Mohs surgeons, plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology
• Participation in medical student, resident, and fellow education
• Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, dependent on qualifications

Position Requirements

• M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
• BC/BE Otolaryngology and completion of a Head and Neck fellowship
• Experience treating a wide spectrum of head and neck surgical oncology
• Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
• Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
