Job summary

NAIA National Champion Hope International is seeking an Athletic Trainer to lead and coordinate all athletic training services and staff. You will provide preventative care, evaluation, treatment, and rehab for injuries, and serve as the primary trainer for at least one major sport each season, with other duties as needed.

You will oversee event coverage, training room operations, emergency action planning, and coordinate physician visits. Collaboration with coaches and campus staff is essential.

Qualifications

• BOC Certification and current Kansas Athletic Trainer Licensure
• Maintain NATA membership and adhere to its ethical standards
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks
• Has a demonstrable faith in Jesus Christ

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination for all athletic training services and staff
• Deliver preventative care, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletic injuries
• Serve as the primary trainer for at least one major sport each season and others as needed
• Oversee athletic event coverage, training room operations, and emergency action planning
• Schedule and coordinate physician visits and referrals for student-athletes
• Assign sport coverage and provide supervision for assistant trainers and student trainers
• Monitor injury documentation and maintain accurate, digital medical records
• Ensure compliance with concussion protocols and athletic insurance policies
• Submit annual supply bids, maintain inventory, and manage the athletic training budget
• Maintain current policies and ensure all athlete forms are completed before participation
• Communicate regularly with coaches, athletes, and the campus insurance director
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to departmental planning
• Supervise and evaluate assistant athletic trainers and student staff
