Job summary

Saint Paul Public Schools is seeking a coach responsible for organizing and promoting the assigned sports program. The role includes planning, coordinating practices, and ensuring student athletes are prepared for competition while fostering a positive sports environment.

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of the sport and the physical capabilities to carry out coaching duties. Previous coaching experience and CPR certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the assigned sport.
• Physically able to carry out the coaching duties of the assigned sport.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and teach fundamentals of the sport.
• Provide an atmosphere conducive to good sportsmanship.
• Ensure adequate supervision of students involved in the sport.
• Instruct athletes on safety procedures and injury reporting.
• Conduct tryouts and select players for the team.
