Job summary

Ferguson is hiring a General Maintenance Associate in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves maintaining Fusion equipment, performing repairs, and handling power tools and forklifts in a safety‑driven environment.

You will operate, troubleshoot, and service hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components, with a starting pay rate around $20/hour and a broader range $17.41–$26.11/hour. Monday–Friday schedule, benefits, and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant automotive repair and equipment repair experience preferred.
• Familiarity with McElroy Fusion equipment is a plus.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience using power industrial tools and operating powered industrial equipment/trucks/forklifts.
• Authorized to work 18+ with a valid state license.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools for grinding, cutting, sanding and drilling.
• Operate powered industrial equipment following OSHA and safety procedures.
• Observe safety for shipping and receiving of rental equipment, purchases.
• Package equipment securely for transport to customer sites.
• Assist in maintenance, repair and rebuilding of Fusion equipment including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical aspects.
• Maintain Fusion equipment with fluid changes and wear-part replacements.
• Follow check-in/check-out procedures for rental equipment and accessories.
• Troubleshoot fleet for repairs and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements (including harness up to 400 lbs).
• May perform driver duties as needed.

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a General Maintenance Associate!

Pay starting at $20 an hour and can vary depending on experience!

Schedule: Monday – Friday / 7:30am to 4:00pm

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools, including griding, cutting, sanding, drilling, etc.
• Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company safety operating procedures.
• Observe vital safety precautions for shipping and receiving of rental equipment, purchase equipment, parts, and accessories.
• Properly package equipment to transport safely to customer sites.
• Involvement in equipment repair and rebuilding including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical aspects of the Fusion equipment.
• Maintain Fusion equipment with frequent fluid changes, filter changes, and replacement of wear and tear parts.
• Follow proper check in and check out producers for rental equipment and accessories.
• Troubleshoot fleet for needed repairs and maintenance.
• Follow housekeeping policies.
• Follow all company mandated safety policies
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs
• May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities

Qualifications

• Relevant automotive repair, equipment repair highly preferred
• Familiarity with McElroy Fusion equipment is a plus.
• Experience in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing of hydraulic equipment.
• Experience in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing of electrical or mehanical components.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Experience and ability to work with power industrial tools.
• Experience in operation of powered industrial equipment / trucks / forklifts.
• Ability to work in a shop or field environment.
• Remain results-focused in a fast-paced challenging customer service environment
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid state issued license is required

Pay Range: $17.41 - $26.11

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
