Qualifications

• 1–2 years of utility locating or HDD support experience
• Knowledge of underground utility locating practices
• Experience operating HDD tracking systems
• Ability to read utility locate markings and construction drawings
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Track and guide the drill head during HDD operations using locating equipment
• Monitor drill head position, depth, and alignment for accurate bore path
• Communicate with the Directional Drill Operator to maintain proper trajectory
• Identify and verify existing underground utilities prior to drilling
• Interpret bore plans and utility locate markings
• Utilize locating equipment such as Ditch Witch, DigiTrak, Subsite
• Maintain awareness of utilities and ensure safe drilling practices
• Assist with potholing and verification of utilities when required
• Support conduit installation and pullback operations
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
• Assist with site preparation, traffic control, and restoration activities
