Job summary

Atlas Group Llc is seeking an experienced Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Operator to join our team in Parkersburg, WV. The ideal candidate will operate HDD equipment to install underground utilities, coordinate with crews, and ensure safe, efficient installations on schedule.

This role requires 3–5+ years HDD experience, the ability to read plans and bore profiles, and a valid driver's license. Travel and overtime may be required, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of HDD experience.
Experience operating HDD drill rigs and related equipment.
Ability to read utility plans, bore profiles, and job specifications.
Knowledge of utility installation including gas, water, and sewer.
Understanding of drilling fluid systems and basic mud mixing.
Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active job sites.
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Willingness to work overtime and travel when required.

Responsibilities

Operate Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) equipment to install underground utilities.
Perform pilot bores, reaming operations, and product pullback.
Monitor drilling parameters including torque, thrust, rotation, and drilling fluid flow.
Ensure bore path follows the designed profile and alignment.
