Qualifications

We are seeking Heavy Diesel Fitters / Mechanics / Heavy Mobile Plant Mechanics / HD Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic / General Fitters / Diesel Mechanics for ongoing field service, backfill, Adhoc and shut crews to join the Ready's team!

What you need to have:

  • Rio Tinto Included - Highly Desirable
  • Forklift ticket - Essential or willing to obtain
  • 2-3+ Years Relevant Experience Post Trade
  • AUS/NZ Recognized Trade Certificate Required
  • Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr & CAT OEM experience
  • Outstanding troubleshooting / diagnostic skills
  • Previous experience conducting component change-outs / Breakdowns and fault-finding
  • Dogging - Essential or willing to obtain
  • Valid C Class Drivers License - Essential
  • 100% commitment to safety, quality, and best practice at all times
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Relocation assistance and FIFO available from where you are.

Job description:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and vehicles, equipment, and associated control devices.
  • Differentiate between unserviceable parts and components that are able to be reused without the likelihood of premature failure.
  • Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated, and maintained.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Service and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and the electrical and electronic systems in heavy equipment.
  • Use computers to seek service and parts information and download information from on-board computers in heavy machinery.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain Caterpillar equipment, such as excavators, loaders, dozers, dump trucks, scrapers, motor graders, pipe layers, road rollers, paving products, underground machines, skid steer loaders, backhoes, compactors, forklifts and on-highway trucks.
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines used in power generation, and light vehicles.
  • Detect mechanical and electrical faults by using gauges, instruments and laptop computers that check machine electrical and electronic circuitry, fuel injection systems, hydraulic systems, engine speed control, engine condition and performance.
