Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines operates a full-service safety-net hospital with acute care, clinics and emergency services. The Health Care Tech (HCT) Float Pool is a full-time role with a reduced night shift 7P-7A (36 hours) dedicated to patient care across ages in an acute setting.

Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of a Basic CNA course (75 hours) or equivalent, and ability to obtain/maintain BLS.

Health Care Tech (HCT) - Float Pool - FT Reduced 7P-7A

Performs selected clinical tasks for patients of all ages and other basic duties.

Schedule

This position is generally scheduled full-time reduced 7P-7A (36 hours)

Qualifications

• 1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2. Completion of Basic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course (75 hours minimum) or successful completion of a workplace-based or military training program that provides the education and training necessary to perform Health Care Technician duties in an acute care setting, as approved by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) or Associate Vice President (AVP) of Nursing.
• 3. Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout employment.
