Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide routine manual services to assure clean, orderly and sanitary conditions in and around buildings.

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:
  • Cleans and services entire Field House, offices, hallways, restrooms, and other public areas as needed.
  • Dust mops, wet mops, polish, vacuums and shampoos carpets, rugs, and furniture.
  • Cleans and disinfects walls, ceilings, and furniture.
  • Cleans all horizontal and vertical surfaces as needed.
  • Maintains pool area, sweeps pool, hoses down pool deck.
  • Checks CO2 gauges, checks chlorine level in tanks, able to read gauges on pump and understand what those numbers mean.
  • Maintains maintenance sheds on the Fields to keep them neat and orderly.
  • Maintains housekeeping equipment and utility closets in an orderly and clean manner.
  • Ensures equipment is working and reports any malfunctions to the Front Desk.
  • Adheres to internal controls established for the department.
  • Performs related duties as required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Exposure to adverse weather conditions such as extreme heat, cold, and rain.
  • Heavy lifting: 25 to 50 lbs. frequently; up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Walking: 50 to 75% of the time.
  • Bending, stooping, crouching: 25 to 50% of the time.
  • Climbing: 15 to 20% of the time.
  • Pushing and pulling objects: 25 to 50% of the time.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED required. No experience necessary, but previous janitorial experience is preferred. Basic computer skills, including reading and responding to emails, are also preferred. Training will be provided for front desk duties (sales).

EQUIPMENT:

Standard housekeeping equipment and materials.

OTHER:

This position may be security sensitive depending on specific job requirements or physical location, and is subject to Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Thursday: 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm
  • Friday: 12:30 pm - 9:30 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: rotating morning and evening shifts
  • Occasional holidays
COMPENSATION:
  • Hiring Range: $15.00 per hour
