The Division of Homeless Solutions leads strategies and initiatives to prevent and end homelessness across Maryland, including managing grants, technical assistance, and programs supporting vulnerable populations.

Salary Range

$64,984 - $78,486/year, with potential for advancement up to $104,954 based on qualifications and experience. Initial offers typically do not exceed $74,486/year.

Location

7800 Harkins Road, Lanham, MD 20706. Located in Prince George's County, near the New Carrollton Metro stop.

Position Duties

Leading the development and implementation of standards and reports for the Balance of State Continuum of Care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and departmental standards. Providing technical assistance, reviewing applications, and assisting with grant and loan documentation, especially related to federal programs.

This role offers a flexible work schedule, telework options, career advancement, and casual dress on Fridays and during summer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Four years of administrative or professional experience, including at least one year in housing finance, development, or related fields.

Note: Additional experience or education may substitute for required qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Continuum of Care programs and homeless services systems.
  • Experience in nonprofit, government, or foundation program administration.

Licenses and Certifications

Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license in Maryland if duties require vehicle operation.

Selection Process

Successful candidates will be placed on an eligible list for at least one year and must document work eligibility in the U.S.
