Job summary

Mathematica is seeking a managing consultant or senior managing consultant to advance HCBS and LTSS programs. You will engage with state agencies, providers, and communities to design and implement policies, address HCBS delivery issues, and utilize Medicaid data for monitoring and improvement.

The role emphasizes leadership, client advisory, and cross-functional collaboration across public health, aging, and disability services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public policy, public health, or a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing complex health policy projects and teams is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve state policy and programs.
• Provide consulting to state and local clients and support policy development.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to keep projects on time and budget.
• Prepare client memos, TA tools, issue briefs, and analytic reports.
• Conduct research using quantitative or qualitative methods.
• Develop proposals for new projects and proposals.
